WHY BEDROCK

Why One Company for Mitigation and Reconstruction Matters

Most restoration companies stop at cleanup. They dry the structure, pull out damaged materials, and then you are on your own to find a general contractor. That means a second company walking your property, a second assessment, a second timeline, and often a communication gap between what was removed and what needs to be rebuilt.

Bedrock does both. We are a Minnesota Licensed General Contractor (#BC787322) with a dedicated reconstruction team: project managers, carpenters, and skilled tradespeople who handle everything from light finish work to full structural rebuilds. Because our reconstruction crew works alongside our mitigation team, they already know your property, your damage scope, and your insurance documentation. That means faster starts, fewer surprises, and one point of contact through the entire project.

SCOPE

What Bedrock Reconstruction Covers

Structural framing

Load-bearing walls, floor joists, roof trusses, and subfloor replacement after fire, water, or storm damage.

Drywall and finishing

Hanging, taping, mudding, texturing, and painting. Matching existing textures and finishes so repairs blend with the rest of your home.

Flooring

Hardwood, LVP, tile, carpet, and subfloor replacement. We match existing materials or help you select upgrades through your insurance claim.

Trim and millwork

Baseboards, crown molding, door casings, window trim, and custom millwork to match your home’s style.

Cabinetry and countertops

Kitchen and bathroom cabinet replacement or refinishing. Countertop installation in stone, quartz, laminate, or solid surface.

Roofing and siding

Shingle replacement, decking repair, soffit and fascia work, siding replacement, and flashing after storm or fire damage.

Plumbing

Pipe repair and replacement within the structure. We handle plumbing as part of reconstruction so you do not need to coordinate a separate plumber.

Electrical coordination.

We coordinate with licensed electricians for wiring, panel, and fixture work as part of the rebuild scope.

Exterior work

Fencing, decking, window and door replacement, and exterior paint or staining as needed.

OUR PROCESS

Reconstruction, Step by Step

Scope and Estimate

Our project manager reviews the mitigation documentation, walks the property, and builds a detailed reconstruction scope. Because we already did the mitigation, we know exactly what was removed and why.

Insurance Coordination

We submit the reconstruction estimate to your insurance adjuster with supporting documentation from the mitigation phase. Photos, moisture readings, equipment logs, and Matterport scans. We negotiate the scope on your behalf so nothing gets missed.

Construction

Our crew handles all work in-house. Framing, drywall, flooring, trim, paint, cabinetry, plumbing, roofing, and exteriors. We pull permits where required, schedule inspections, and keep you updated with regular progress reports.

Final Walkthrough

We walk the completed project with you. Every detail is checked against the scope. If anything is not right, we fix it before closing the project. That is the Bedrock Guarantee.

PROJECT TYPES

Reconstruction After Every Type of Damage

After water
damage

Replacing waterlogged drywall, warped flooring, swollen trim, and damaged insulation. Matching existing finishes and restoring the space to pre-loss condition.

After fire
damage

Full structural rebuild including framing, roofing, siding, electrical, plumbing, drywall, flooring, and finishes. Fire reconstruction often involves the most extensive scope and we manage every phase.

After mold remediation

Replacing drywall, insulation, flooring, and other materials removed during remediation. Ensuring the rebuilt space has proper ventilation and moisture barriers to prevent recurrence.

After storm
damage

Roof repairs, window replacement, siding, soffit and fascia, structural framing, and interior repairs from water intrusion. From a few missing shingles to a full roof replacement.

Small to
large scope

No job is too small and no job is too large. A single room of drywall and flooring gets the same attention as a whole-house rebuild after a fire. Every customer is treated with the same care and urgency.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a separate contractor for reconstruction after restoration? +

Not with Bedrock. We are a Minnesota Licensed General Contractor (#BC787322) and handle both mitigation and reconstruction. One team, one point of contact from emergency call through final walkthrough.

Does insurance cover reconstruction? +

If the original damage was covered by your policy, reconstruction is typically covered as well. Your policy should restore your property to pre-loss condition. We submit detailed reconstruction estimates with supporting mitigation documentation directly to your adjuster.

How long does reconstruction take? +

Timelines depend on scope. A single room (drywall, flooring, paint) may take one to two weeks. A full-home rebuild after a fire may take several months. We provide a clear schedule during the planning phase and update you regularly.

Can I upgrade materials during reconstruction? +

In many cases, yes. Insurance covers restoring your home to pre-loss condition using like-kind materials. If you want to upgrade (for example, hardwood instead of carpet), you may pay the difference out of pocket. We help you understand what is covered and what the upgrade cost would be.

Do you pull permits and handle inspections? +

Yes. As a licensed general contractor, we pull all required permits, coordinate municipal inspections, and ensure all work meets current building codes.
