  • Water stains on ceilings or walls
  • Musty smell that was not there before

OUR PROCESS

From Call to Cleanup

Emergency
Call

Call (612) 834-1501 any time. A Bedrock team member answers, gathers details, and dispatches a certified technician immediately.

Inspect
and Assess

We arrive within 1 hour with thermal imaging cameras and moisture meters. We identify the water source, classify the water category (clean, gray, or black), and map the full scope of damage.

Extract
and Dry

Our crew removes standing water with truck-mounted and portable extractors. We deploy industrial air movers and dehumidifiers, monitor moisture levels daily, and adjust equipment as conditions change. Most residential water losses dry within three to five days under normal conditions.

Restore
and Rebuild

Once your property is dry and verified, our general contracting team handles all repairs. Drywall, flooring, trim, paint, structural framing. Whatever it takes to return your home to pre-loss condition. One company from start to finish.

UNDERSTANDING WATER DAMAGE

The Three Categories of Water Damage

Not all water damage is the same. The category determines how we handle extraction, drying, and decontamination.

Category 1: Clean Water Water from a sanitary source that does not pose a significant health risk. Examples include a broken supply line to a dishwasher, a leaking faucet, or a toilet tank overflow (no contamination). Standard extraction and drying procedures apply.

Category 2: Gray Water Water that contains significant contamination and may cause discomfort or illness if ingested. Examples include washing machine overflow, dishwasher leaks with detergent, or HVAC condensate. Requires antimicrobial treatment in addition to extraction and drying.

Category 3: Black Water Grossly contaminated water that poses serious health risks. Examples include sewage backups, flooding from rivers or storm drains, and any standing water that has been stagnant for over 48 hours. Requires full PPE, professional decontamination, antimicrobial treatment, and potentially removal of all porous materials. Children, elderly residents, and anyone with a compromised immune system should vacate the property until restoration is complete.

Bedrock handles all three categories. We classify the water source on arrival so you understand exactly what you are dealing with and what the restoration process requires.

TWIN CITIES WATER DAMAGE

Why Water Damage Hits Twin Cities Homes Hard

Containment barriers and plastic sheeting set up in a hallway during mold remediation

Minnesota’s climate creates year-round water damage risk. Here is what we see most often across St. Louis Park, Edina, Eden Prairie, and the surrounding suburbs.

Spring thaw flooding (March through May). When frost lines running 42 to 60 inches deep finally thaw, groundwater surges into basements through foundation cracks, floor drains, and failed sump pumps. This is the busiest time of year for water damage calls in the Twin Cities.

Ice dams (December through February). When heat escapes through the roof and melts snow from the underside, water refreezes at the eaves and backs up under shingles. The result is water infiltration into attics, ceilings, and walls that often goes undetected for weeks.

Burst pipes (January through March). Temperatures regularly drop below zero in Minnesota. Pipes in exterior walls, crawl spaces, and unheated areas freeze and burst, flooding finished basements and lower levels.

Summer storms (June through August). Heavy rain overwhelms storm drains and sewer systems. Basement flooding from sewer backups and window well failures spikes during severe thunderstorms.

If you have experienced any of these, call (612) 834-1501. We have handled hundreds of these exact situations across the Twin Cities metro.

Bedrock Restoration is great choice. The company is honest and gives straightforward professional recommendations. We had a minor mold issue detected on a home we just purchaesd. They gave 3 options/level of service after an inspection to deal with the situation. Very fair.

Austin & Alex both visited to assist in drying our wall and carpet that had been damaged by a burst pipe, they were very efficient in assessing the situation, checking for any potential mold, drying and then removing their equipment. Good job, thanks!

Bedrock has been doing work on my building and my unit. Throughout the process, the team has been very responsive and thoughtful. I have worked most closely with Adan, (mitigation) Robinson (restoration project manager) and his team. All were very thorough in terms of making sure the work fit my expectations, and extremely thoughtful. My experience with Bedrock overall has been that they genuinely care about their customers and about taking care of issues when they arrive. Asher is a good addition to the team.

Bedrock Restoration handled rebuild work at our home that included hardwood flooring. The flooring was incorrectly installed and now has significant issues, including crowning, large gaps, popped filler, and edge deterioration. An independent NWFA-certified inspector tied the problems to the installation process, and repair estimates are in the tens of thousands of dollars. Bedrock has refused to stand behind the work performed under its rebuild scope and has directed us to other parties. I would not recommend them for restoration work involving hardwood floors.

TL:DR: Billed ~$2700 for dropping off a dehumidifier, plus third party asbestos/lead testing. I am sharing this review because I agreed to proceed with Bedrock based, in part, on looking at these google reviews (which are largely glowing). My experience was not as positive. I originally called Bedrock Plumbing (different, but somehow related, company) to assess a leak in my bathroom in June of 2026. After cutting a small hole in the wall, the Bedrock plumber determined more assessment would be needed and recommended I call Bedrock Restoration. The plumber assured me, as did Bedrock Restoration, that they would talk to each other to figure out the best path forward. The first thing Bedrock Restoration asked for was an Emergency Work Authorization - which is essentially a blank check, BEWARE - to 'assess the problem'. They sent two techs to my house who looked around, took a few photos, touched nothing, and dropped off an industrial dehumidifier. They arranged for an asbestos and lead test by a third company before they could begin work. In the meantime, I am discussing all of this with my insurance company (which is never a short or easy process, as anyone who has dealt with this knows). I never authorized anything further than the dehumidifier, which leaked all over the bathroom floor several days into the process (they replaced it with another identical one). After about three weeks, we decided, in conjunction with the insurance company, that we were basically going to have to take the bathroom to the studs and so no remediation would make sense. I called Bedrock to ask them to pick up their dehumidifier, which they did. The next day, they sent me a bill for close to $2,700. When I noted how little was done and that the dehumidifier I was charged for actually leaked water, they revised the price to $2350. Note that these guys did not cut any holes in walls, they did not move anything in the bathroom - they literally dropped off a (leaky) dehumidifier and took a bunch of photos with their cell phones, then left. I am going to pay the bill since the EWA authorizes a mechanic's lien on my house, but that doesn't mean you need to make the same mistake. I will note that everyone was unfailingly courteous, but it left a very bad taste in my mouth. Please be careful with companies like this.

If you've reached the point of needing to call Bedrock Restoration, you're likely dealing with major home damage and are stressed out. You should call Bedrock. They will walk you through it. We learned of a major water leak on a Friday night. Our insurer named Bedrock as one of their recommendations. They were the only ones to answer, and two techs, Tyler and Jesse, were out within a couple hours setting up equipment (staying until 3 am to get the drying process started). Over the next several months, they were communicative, gave us one specific person (Kyle) to work with, were flexible, and got us everything we needed. The entire process worked smoothly, and they quickly and professionally addressed any issues we raised. Look, you're looking for a restoration company. You're in an awful spot. Do yourself a favor and call a company that will walk with you through the process. Contact Bedrock.

Bedrock got to our house the same day we called. Although, our problem ended up needing a different specialty professional, Austin did a great job really trying to trace down the source of our problem. Would recommend to a friend.

Bedrock was the third company we reached out to for water mitigation services for water damage. We're processing a claim through our home insurance. We're really glad we found them. So far they have been empathetic, very considerate of our home, communicative and have kept their word. Up to this point we have used them for the drying out process. I'll try to update this review after rebuild. Background: we had a water leak in our kitchen. Despite catching it early it created water damage in our kitchen and basement in our newly bought home. By the time we called Bedrock I was pretty spent. The first company had multiple red flags. The second one was better but staff seemed overworked and busy. I called Bedrock and it was a night and day difference. I talked with Jesse at 9 pm and I was both exhausted and stressed. I wanted to find someone to do the job right because we had a nightmare with a paint contractor before moving into our house and didn't want a repeat. Jesse was calm, empathetic and thoroughly answered my questions about what to expect. He arrived early the next day. He was the only company of the three that had equipment ready to go to start the drying process. The other two companies had to book out the next day for the drying process. If you've had water damage you know timing is of the essence. Him and his team took such care with our things. They had shoe covers on, took care in moving our items without dinging them, communicated with me about where I wanted things, and checked in regularly so I knew what they were recommending. They clearly have the homeowners interest in mind and I have confidence they will advocate for our needs to our adjustor. If you want someone you can count on, who will take care in finding a solution that is the least invasive yet still effective, and who will be both kind and professional in caring for your home, I recommend them.

We were extremely pleased with Bedrock Restoration when we had water issues. Caitlin did an excellent job of coordinating the project and communicating with us throughout the mitigation project. The Project Manager, Adan, was knowledgeable, organized, easy to work with and genuinely cared about our property. He and his team responded within hours of my call and completed the mitagation phase in record time! Adan did an excellent job when walking the insurance adjuster through the damaged area, pointing out the concerns, the reason for the mitigation and need for restoration. The tech, Drake , was prompt, curious, and provided excellent customer service. We are so pleased with Bedrock, that were are contracting with them to complete the restoration phase. We highly recommend!

Austin came to the rescue after the floor drain from my water softener backed up and got water all over my utility room and into my bedroom. He arrived on a Saturday a few hours after I contacted Bedrock and quickly assessed the situation. He clearly explained the clean up process and got everything taken care of in about an hour.

Bedrock was a lifesaver for our home mitigation and restoration project. After we found some water damage, they came immediately (the mitigation team was FABULOUS!) helping us along the way, educating us on the next step of the process, and ensuring everything was perfectly dry and safe. The restoration team was also amazing and easy to work with. Our project manager, Domminick, brought in an excellent crew for each stage of the process and synced the timing so that it had as little impact on our family as possible. We ran into a few hiccups, but Domminick and the team were always professional, quick to resolve, and easy to share concerns with. Everything was handled with care and empathy, like this was their home. The team did whatever possible to ensure the job had 100% satisfaction. I would recommend them, hands down! Dan, the owner, also engaged with us to ensure the process was running smooth. We can't thank them enough!

We called Bedrock today regarding newly noted water damage. They had their crew out within the hour. Austin & Alex were very professional & honest. They kept us informed throughout the process. They then brought in their plumber Tyler who was also very knowledgeable. Unfortunately there is a lot more damage than expected but we feel we are in really good hands.

We have had a great experience with all of the Bedrock staff we’ve worked with, both on the water remediation side and rebuild side. They have been super responsive, starting with showing up immediately after we found water where it doesn’t belong and through their daily checks on the status of the water. They have been patient and kind through a stressful experience, answering each of our questions with great respect. Special shout-out to Austin, Justin, Drake, Dominic and Todd - thanks for all of the expert help and kindness along the way.

Bedrock was a blessing to work with during such a stressful time! From phase one of mitigation through the reconstruction phase, their communication, efficiency and craftsmanship is top notch. Robinson was in constant communication while coordinating the reconstruction process. Leo did the hands on work and was equally professional. The plumber, electrician, carpet guys and the rest of the crew showed up on time and got the job done. Also shout out to Adan who helped with the insurance aspect. I have referred Bedrock to several people! A+

We had a little water issue in one of our windows. I called Bedrock and they sent out Todd to take a look. Todd was great to work with and very knowledgable. He took his time looking over the rest of the upstairs, diagnosed the issue and gave us some steps to fix it. Great customer service and I absolutely recommend giving the team a call if you need the services.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does water damage restoration cost in the Twin Cities? +

Cost depends on the size of the affected area, the water category (clean, gray, or black), and how long the water has been sitting. A small Category 1 leak in one room may cost a few hundred dollars to dry and repair. A full basement flood with Category 3 contamination requiring demolition and reconstruction can run into the thousands. We provide a written estimate before any work begins so you know exactly what to expect. Most homeowner's insurance policies cover sudden water damage. We work directly with your carrier to handle documentation.

How long does water damage restoration take? +

Most residential water losses dry within three to five days under normal conditions. The timeline depends on the materials affected, the square footage, the water category, and how quickly mitigation starts. Reconstruction timelines vary by scope. A single room of drywall and flooring may take a week. A full basement rebuild may take several weeks. We give you a clear timeline during the initial assessment and update you at every stage.

Does Bedrock work with my insurance company? +

Yes. We handle the entire insurance process. Our technicians document every step with photos, moisture meter readings, equipment logs, and Matterport scans. We compile a full claim package and submit it directly to your adjuster. You do not need to chase paperwork or coordinate between contractors and your carrier.

What should I do immediately after water damage? +

If it is safe, turn off the water source. Move valuables off the floor and out of standing water. Do not enter areas with standing water near electrical outlets. Call (612) 834-1501 immediately. The faster we start extraction, the more materials we can save and the lower your total restoration cost. Mold can begin developing within 24 to 48 hours of water exposure.

Does Bedrock Restoration help with insurance claims for water damage in Edina, MN? +

Absolutely, Bedrock Restoration simplifies insurance claims for water damage in Edina, MN by handling documentation, detailed assessments, and direct communication with your provider. Our experienced team, IICRC-certified and family-operated across Twin Cities counties including Edina's Highlands and Arden Park, has successfully managed thousands of claims with transparent, upfront estimates. As a licensed MN general contractor (#BC787322), we use proven techniques like moisture mapping to justify every step, from extraction to reconstruction. Edina residents choose us for our 24/7 availability, high-quality workmanship, and the Bedrock Guarantee that promises satisfaction. This trustworthy partnership minimizes your stress, letting us focus on rapid, expert restoration while ensuring fair coverage for your property.

Are your technicians certified? +

All Bedrock technicians hold IICRC certifications in water damage restoration. Our company is a Minnesota Licensed General Contractor (#BC787322) with full liability and workers' compensation insurance. We follow IICRC S500 standards for water damage restoration and S520 standards for mold remediation.

Can you save my flooring and drywall, or does everything need to be torn out? +

We specialize in minimally invasive restoration. Using targeted drying equipment, moisture meters, and thermal imaging, we dry materials in place whenever structurally sound. Not every water loss requires full demolition. Our goal is to save what we can, which reduces your cost and shortens your timeline.

Do you handle repairs after drying, or do I need a separate contractor? +

No separate contractor needed. Bedrock is a full-service general contracting company. We handle mitigation, drying, cleaning, and all reconstruction. Drywall, flooring, trim, paint, structural framing, even plumbing. One team, one point of contact from emergency call to final walkthrough.

What areas do you serve for water damage restoration? +
